Support
Menopause In Schools
Survivors Club
(12 hours group menopause
mentoring for 4-12 women)
£1600
An opportunity for a group of
women to come to a better understanding of what is going on with their bodies
and brains and what their options are; to learn how to get the best out of
their doctors and the support available to them; to understand how the
menopause may be impacting on their work, relationships and families and to create
strategies to minimise that impact; specifically to look at how they can solve
the problems which arise through menopause and perimenopause in a school
environment; and to support each other as they work through the challenges of
menopause and adjust to its changes.
This is an in-depth
experience leading to long term strategies for managing perimenopause and
menopause and supporting the group through long-lasting actions which improve
health and well-being.
It takes place over several months, with meetings happening face to face or online. The usual is eight 90-minute sessions, but other arrangements are possible.
Menopause in Schools SOS (Sort out Stuff!)
Workshop for staff affected by
Perimenopause and Menopause
£200
An opportunity for teachers who are struggling with menopause or
perimenopause to create a plan to move forward. The precise subject matter of
the session will vary depending on how peri/menopause is being experienced by
the participants and their specific needs, but we are likely to consider:
S changes in the brain and body and how we recognise perimenopause
S
the options for
medical treatment including HRT
S
lifestyle changes
which can improve our experience of perimenopause and menopause
S
handling mood
changes, anxiety and stress
S
strategies for
handling difficult conversations including those with our GP
S
techniques to
manage menopause in schools
S
how we perceive
perimenopause and menopause and how this impacts on our choices
We may use various techniques to map out our experience and our choices as well as small group and whole group discussions. This workshop is run flexibly in order to respond to the concerns and experiences of participants, but will usually include participants in mapping activities and in small group and whole group discussions.
The workshop lasts 90 minutes. It can be delivered to small or large groups - there is more time for individual interaction with a group of 12 or less.
Plot a Path through the Menopause Maze
75-90 minute 1:1 Menopause Mentoring Session
£160
An opportunity for teachers who are struggling with menopause or perimenopause to create a plan to move forward. The precise subject matter of the session will vary depending on how peri/menopause is being experienced, but we are likely to discuss symptoms, the options for medical treatment, lifestyle changes, and techniques to manage menopause in schools. We may also explore how we perceive the menopausal transition and what stops us making the changes that help us deal with it. This session can also be used for preparations for discussions with Senior Leadership, Human Resources or Occupational Health as to the accommodations the school might make to enable the teacher to continue in their role effectively and healthily.
If you are self-funding you can book this session directly here.
